Board of Directors
| A
graduate of the
University of Virginia with degrees in Management
Information Systems and Human Resources, Dan takes great
pride in his roots as a TJ grad and on occasion can still be
heard singing the fight song at various gatherings. After
college, Dan moved to San Francisco for four years and met is
wife, Sydney. They soon returned to the DC area where Dan
currently works for American Public University System. His wife, Sydney, runs SydneySays event planning and floral design. They reside in Reston and
spend their spare time traveling, entertaining guests, and jamming to
their iPods. Dan has served as Association President since 2007 (this is his second term) and previously was an at-large member for one term from 2005-2007. |

A
graduate of the
Vassar College with a degree in history, Jay was a radio
reporter in upstate New York before returning to the DC area, now
teaching at
Sheridan School in Northwest because what else, ultimately, can
you do with a history degree? In 2005, he completed a masters in
Educational Leadership at
George Washington University. He served two terms as Association
President and now lives in Bethesda with his partner, Alvin, and
their dog, Hershey. Jay has served the Alumni Association since 2003, as an at-large member, as President for two terms and as Past-President for two terms. |

Nikhil Sinha '01
Secretary
E-Mail Nikhil |
Nikhil graduated from
Carnegie Mellon University in 2005, with
majors in
Information Systems and Political Science, and a minor
in Business Administration. Disappointed that people didn't
throw their caps in the air like they do at TJ, Nikhil returned
to CMU for another year and another try. He graduated in 2006 with a
Master's degree in
Public Policy and Management, but cap still
firmly in hand. Nikhil now lives in Fairfax, and works for the
consulting firm
Booz Allen Hamilton. As the lone alum
from the current millennium on the board, Nikhil likes to
relieve the stress by watching
Capitals hockey games and
participating daily in rush hour commutes. Nikhil has served as Secretary since 2007, currently serving his 2nd term. |
Rachana completed the little-known AP Super-involved course at Jefferson , having served as class president all four years. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in psychology and a concentration in statistics. She currently works as a management consultant for Accenture, a global consulting and technology firm. Rachana lives in Chicago and on weekends, enjoys taking in the windy city’s day and nightlife. She travels a lot, but on Sunday afternoons she is always close to a television to watch football, even if that TV is in an airport or hotel room. Rachana is serving her third consecutive term as an at-large member, since 2005. |

A graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Civil Engineering and Operations Research, Todd has applied the lessons he learned at TJ as a management consultant, a private equity investor, and a small business owner. Todd currently works at the Corporate Executive Board as a Research Director for the Integrated Sales Executive Council where he advises Global 1000 Sales leaders on issues related to sales strategy, customer management, sales staff development, and sales operations. When not working with senior sales leaders to improve the productivity of their teams, Todd enjoys cooking, traveling, and listening to all types of music. Todd is serving his third consecutive term as an at-large member, having joined the Board of Directors in 2005. |

Jason Hintz Llopis '89
Reunions Chair
|
Jason was a member of the first class at Jefferson Science & Tech, graduating in 1989. While proud of starting many TJ traditions, he also realized that he will forever be the oldest person at any Alumni meeting (or is it Cindy? I'm sure she won't reveal her birthday!) Holding the school's first 20th Reunion this past year was a wonderful experience and great reconnection to the glory of TJ high. He looks forward to sharing similar joy with fellow alumni in their upcoming reunions. A graduate of the Commerce School at the University of Virginia, Jason has spent his last 16 years working for the Walt Disney Animation Studios. His credits include Tarzan, Treasure Planet, Bolt, and Princess and the Frog. Jason resides in Los Angeles, CA with his wonderful husband Noel and their second grade daughter, Kathryn. He is currently serving his first team as Co-Chair of the Reunions Committee. |

Cindy D'Agostino '89
Reunions Chair
|
A graduate of The College of William and Mary with a degree in History, Cindy put her TJ Television tech lab experience to work and is a television and documentary film editor. She was on staff at National Geographic for seven years and has been freelance since 2001. She does work for Geographic, Discovery, Smithsonian, PBS and various independent filmmakers in the DC area. She lives in Alexandria with her husband Mike, dog Annie and newborn son Nicholas. She hopes to have hobbies again, but currently can't imagine it with a six week old in the house. |
